Snuggle up in January with This Great Book!

January 7th, 2010

As an avid lover and reader of all things children, I just absolutely love Hog Prince, written by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen. This book is all about a little pig becoming a prince, if he could just break the Hog Prince spell.  After going around kissing other famous storybook characters, he finds that his true love was right under his snout the entire time!  Perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Find it at The Reading Tree!

Halloween is Here!

October 30th, 2009

Wow! October is coming to an end.  The leaves are falling faster than we can get them cleaned up and the weather has that cooler feeling and makes me want to go sit by the fire and grab a SPOOKY Story.

My favorites this season are Spooky, Spooky Spooky” by  Cathy MacLennan and Goodnight Goon: A Petrifying Parody by Michael Rex both stories are great read alouds for your kids.  They would also make great trick or TREATS for your goblin.

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!
